Can asthma be irritated while vacuuming or steam cleaning a carpet?
I almost had my asthma under control before I decided to vacuum/steam clean my carpets. If it gets too hot and stuffy in the apartment it does wake me up and I have to sleep with a fan on. Any thoughts would be sincerely appreciated.
Yes, anything that stirs up dust and debris can exacerbate asthma. Next time wear a mask when you do that or have someone else do the work and leave the house.
Keep your fan blades clean, too.
